We offer a variety of camps full of creative experiences for kids and teens. Art Camps are 2-1/2 hours, running Monday through Thursday. Bottled water will be available. Individually wrapped snacks maybe offered on some camp days. Summer Art Camps are held at the Cottingham home, 708 S Broadway, Pitman, NJ.
2026 SUMMER ART CAMPS
Imagine!
June 22-June 25 1:00-3:30 Ages 7-12
Fun and imagination happen in this camp! Your child will enjoy creating three-dimensional projects as they cut, glue, paint, fold, construct and assemble in a variety of mediums. Your child will have fun while they develop their problem-solving skills and dexterity as they create their original art – that they can play with!
Your child’s whimsical creations include a marionette bird puppet (with a grand finale “art camp theater”!), a paper mâché mask, a fluffy feathery hand puppet, a folded paper puppet, and a fun game with a monster - who gobbles up all he can eat! All supplies included.

Around the World Safari Tour 1
July 6-9 1:00-3:30 Ages 6-11 (your child must have completed kindergarten)
Come on a “safari” around the world! Students will create different animals from all seven continents! Your child will get his or her own “passport” to record each continent, complete with their own self-portrait. Their passport will have a sticker for every animal they create, along with a fact sheet for each animal! Your child will draw, color, paint, cut, fold, glue, tape, assemble, and more – while using a wide variety of mediums and materials. We will have tons of fun as we learn about art and animals! All supplies included.
The animals from Safari Tour 1 include a Tiger, Penguin, Bear, Rainbow Fish, Raccoon, Zebra and a Flapping Bird!

More Fun With Drawing!
July 20-23 9:00-11:30 Ages 6-11 (your child must have completed kindergarten)
In this camp your child will explore techniques of drawing as they develop their observation and drawing skills. There will be times of learning, practice and fun challenges as students strengthen their abilities. Using a variety of mediums, your child will create playful artworks as they also learn about and use the elements of art. Most camp days will use various warm-up work sheets and contour drawing exercises before your child creates their different art projects.
This camp includes lots of color and imagination, including a still life of the Mad Hatter’s Tea Party, Rapunzel’s Magical Tower, a Fanciful Flower Garden (with a surprise!), a Flying Dragon, Colorful Swimming Fish, and a Royal self-portrait. All supplies included.

FUNtastic Art
July 27 – 30 9:00-11:30 Ages 6-11 (your child must have completed kindergarten)
The name says it all! This camp is full of fun! Your child will enjoy exploring various mediums and techniques while creating unique and fanciful art projects! We will draw, paint, cut, glue, assemble, sculpt, and more! Each playful artwork your child creates develops problem solving skills and confidence, while providing creative expression and imaginative fun! All supplies included.
In this camp, your child will learn how to cane clay to make a clay snake, make an outer space scene with a flying rocket, a puffy paint ice cream cone (inspired by artist Wayne Thiebaud), Cats on a Fence Collage, a whimsical papier-mâché bird, and crazy colossal sunglasses!

Let’s Get Drawing!
August 3-6 1:00-3:30 Ages 6-11 (your child must have completed kindergarten)
In this camp your child will explore techniques of drawing as they develop their observation and drawing skills. There will be times of learning, practice and fun challenges as students strengthen their abilities. Using a variety of mediums, your child will also create several finished pieces of art, taking some drawings further by adding color. Your child will learn about and use the elements of art and some principles of design to create their art. All supplies included.
This camp includes a directed-drawing abstract, a small still life, a colorful toucan, a whale and sea life watercolor, a stuffed bear in value and texture, and a self-portrait.

Teen Menagerie
June 29-July 2 1:00-3:30 Ages 11-16 (child must have completed 5th grade)
This camp gives teens a little bit of everything – drawing, painting, collage, printing and sculpture! Students will strengthen their ability and confidence in drawing with contour drawing exercises and various warm-ups. They will explore a different mediums and techniques as they create a variety of art projects – never a dull moment in this camp! For all skill levels. All supplies Included.
In this camp your teen will create a value drawing of a (diy) crushed soda can, a contour line drawing of tea cups which will be developed into a painted-paper collage (inspired by the artist Eric Carle), and experiment with scrape painting! Your teen will also learn to cane clay to make a clay fish, create a metal wire portrait, and print a desert cactus scene!

Summer Drawing
9th grade thru Adult
Tuesdays. June 30th-July 28th 6:30-8:30pm
This is a 5 week class dedicated to drawing. The goal of this class is to improve and inspire your drawing skills. We will explore a variety of drawing techniques and medium. Students will have experiences in graphite, charcoal, ink and more. We will also attempt venture outdoors (weather permitting) for some Plein Air landscape drawing. This class is for all levels of drawing skills. All materials are supplied, you are more than welcome to bring your own drawing materials.

Summer Painting
9th grade thru Adult
Wednesdays July 1st-July 29th 6:30-8:30pm
This class is a 5 week session in exploring various painting techniques and mediums. Students will get experiences with watercolors, acrylics, oil pastels and more. You will learn techniques in creating textures, composition, color theory etc. Weather permitting, one week we will try to travel outdoors for an opportunity of Plein Air painting. All supplies are provided, although you are more than welcome to bring your own if you prefer.
